Previous Daily Devotional About
who is responsible… Matthew 4:17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for
the kingdom of heaven is near." (NIV) If you do not agree you are personally and solely responsible for your sin and if you do not agree you are personally and solely responsible for your repentance, nothing else matters because you are eternally doomed to hell or eternally doomed to the outer darkness “whichever comes worse”. In addition, you cannot buy repentance from God as if you are going to buy a piece of real estate or buy an item at a convenience store. Repentance is solely acquired by your looking in the mirror at your heart, seeing how dreadfully sinful your heart is, and then turning away in utmost humility from the sin of your heart. To have the vision to see the sin of your heart, you must go to the foot of the cross and look up at Christ your Lord. See Him suffering and dieing just for you and you alone. If you fully accept your responsibility in life, you will accept it was your sin, the very sin in your heart of hearts that crucified Christ. However, if you will turn away from your sin by seeking Christ’s forgiveness, He will forgive you because He loves you. After He forgives you, then He will ask you to invite Him into your heart and life so you will in turn live in His heart for eternity.
