Previous Daily Devotional This Devotional Is Part Of A Special Continuing Series Related To Dependency And Co-dependency Issues. Rules Of Godly Common Sense Apply. About wondering why you feel like you are going crazy…. Hebrews 12:11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. (NIV) We can have days where everything comes unglued. Life can be chaotic for many reasons. Things can spiral out of control for no apparent reason. There are times we can certainly feel like we are going crazy. However, Christ is the greatest calming influence in our life if we would but let Him into our heart. Christ is the source of all peace. He is the source of order in our life. Christ can put together what life pulls apart. Christ can bring reason where there is unreason. When things begin to unravel, our place of refuge is the Cross. In Christ's worst moment, we find His love pouring down from the Cross in abundance…for all for us. When things begin to spiral out of control, Christ continually calls us to come to Him and be with Him rather than being with the chaos of the world. |
