Previous Daily Devotional About your importance to others… Galatians 6:2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. (NIV) The way our life works, we can sometimes think no one cares about us. We can sometimes wrongly think we are not important to anyone else. However, all of our lives are connected and inter-connected in invisible ways, making all of us important to each other. Although you might not always think so, it is absolutely true you are incredibly important to others. We cannot always see the importance of our interconnections to others, yet our life becomes important to others because of our interconnections with them. We cannot always see the puzzle of where we fit in the life of others. We cannot always see we are very often quite vital to the lives of others. Since there are so many people on earth, we can easily think the world can do without us. Although we can easily think we are not important to anyone, just the opposite is true. In addition, we can easily underestimate our power and influence upon others. In the same way, because you are important to others, your mistakes can hurt others in ways you cannot know or appreciate. Likewise, because you are so important to others, your success in life can bless others if you want to be a blessing. Lastly, because God gave you the gift of life and made you important in the lives of others, God expects and needs you to share your life in loving ways with others. In God's way of thinking, your importance to others is fully realized when you love them enough to help carry their burdens. |
