About your importance to the world…
Psalm 149:4 For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble
with salvation. (NIV)
Just about everyone in the world would agree the world needs people who are
kind, caring, compassionate, humble, and forgiving. Although the world is filled
with people who have such profound differences some people want to kill each
other, just about everyone in the world would agree the world needs people who
love each other in humility. What the world needs is for you to be kind, caring,
compassionate, humble, and forgiving. What the world needs is for you to love
others. You are a person. You help populate the world like all the rest of us.
If each of us does not take on our job of kindness, caring, compassion,
forgiveness, humility, and love, then our job will never get done. Most
importantly, you can begin to change the world when you begin to change
yourself. You are important to the world because you make up the population of
the world. Although you might not be famous, your importance to the world may be
greater than the most famous person on earth. In truth, when God looks down upon
you and upon all the rest of the people of earth, God does not see you as any
less important than anyone else. When God looks down upon the people of earth,
no one person stands out as more important than anyone else. When God looks at
you, He loves you just as much as He loves anyone else, and He considers your
place in the world to be just as important as the place of anyone else. When God
looks at you, in ways we cannot understand, in God's eyes it is as if you were
the only person on earth.
