About your rescue by our Lord…
Job 5:17 "Blessed is the man whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline
of the Almighty. 18 For he wounds, but he also binds up; he injures, but his hands also
heal. 19 From six calamities he will rescue you; in seven no harm will befall you. (NIV)
In every way, we must make our plea with our Lord Jesus to not let us be caught up in
the world. We must not look at the world with envy or want, but look at Christ at all
times. When you have needs and fears, look to Him first, for in Him you can find what you
need and you can find courage to face each day. When calamities befall you, God will help
you know that He is near you. When things go wrong, He will help you know that He is near
you to help put things right. When you are confused and do not know where to turn, open
your heart and mind to His truth, His love, and His wisdom. When you are tired, He will
give you added strength to move through each day. When things about you crumble, you can
turn to Him and you can live in His love. In every moment, Christ is waiting to lift your
spirit so that you can be His example here in this time and place. In Christ, you need not
be anxious about this world or this life, for in Christ, you can find so much security and
so much love.
