A Prayer To See Past The Moment
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly
Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Sometimes I wish I could see things like you do.
To me, things look pretty bleak at the moment, but I know you do not see
things like I do.
Miraculously, because you died to set me free and give me eternal life, even
my death is not final.
So help me see past the present moment.
Help me look up and see you standing above the clouds waiting for me, standing
ready to be with me, and standing ready to help me in this present hour.
In your wisdom, grace, and love, help me see the future as a time of unlimited
happiness. Although my present may be full of darkness, I know in you my
future is as bright as the noonday sun.
Although I tend to see the future as full of doom and gloom, I know in your
love the future is full of your hope and promise.
As the present moments flicker by without my seeming to notice, help me see
you are always with me to guide me and direct me in all your ways.
According to your good will, bring my heart and soul into your presence,
moment by moment, and hour by hour.
In your presence, may I always be willing to be all your want me to be, even
when my present moments seem bleak.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
