Adjustments...
Our progress or success in life requires we often make
adjustments according to the conditions and environment we live in. If
you drive a vehicle with a standard transmission, you need to shift
gears when you increase or decrease the speed of the vehicle. If you
drive a vehicle with an automatic transmission, the transmission shifts
gears automatically according to your speed and the power required by
the engine. In the same way gears must be shifted when we are driving,
we often need to shift gears or make adjustments in life. Many of us do
not like to change or make adjustments. Unfortunately, we too often do
not want to be flexible in achieving our goals and objectives. However,
the reality of life is such that bad or unexpected things happen. When
bad or unexpected things happen we must adjust to win or we will lose.
When we lose because we are not willing to make adjustments, we lose
because of our decision not to adjust. Adjusting to surrounding
circumstances is not easy, but if we know what it is we want to achieve,
and we are determined to achieve it, adjusting is easier and more
efficient than seeing our plans crumble because we refused to take
changing conditions into account.
