Topic:
Being Willing To Learn
The more willing we are to be taught by God, the
more we learn. It is just like school. In school, the more willing we
are to learn the more we learn. If we are rebellious and we do not pay
attention in school, we lose out. We learn little or nothing.
If you are determined to learn the truth of life
from God, then pain, disappointment, and failure can teach you and give
you wisdom. You may be thinking, “If God really wanted to teach me
something, He would not have to do it with the whip of adversity, pain,
and suffering.”
You are right. However, God does not bring on
adversity, pain, and suffering. God does not do anything with a whip.
God is not the source of misfortune. God is not the source of what we
call bad luck. However, God can help you use what has happened to you to
your advantage.
To defeat adversity and learn more, you have
to learn to be taught in the times of your adversity. Be willing to let
God lead you and teach you. In addition, if you are willing to let God
work in your life, you live differently, think differently, even walk
and talk differently. When you are truly willing to learn, things even
happen differently.
