Topic: Pain And Intelligence

When we are in pain we must remember that we have a brain and intelligence. We have the ability to understand and reason. In times of great emotional pain and suffering, we can temporarily lose our ability to reason. What we can do is realize we have the obstacle of pain in our path and if necessary, postpone decision-making during our times of darkness. Of course, the difficulty is always that in times of great stress and pain we generally have to make decisions. Just knowing our times of pain and suffering impairs our thinking and reasoning abilities is a great asset. If circumstances blind us, at least we can know we are blind. The worst thing to happen to us is to be blind, not know it, and then try to function as if we can see.
