The Light From Above
The star of Bethlehem is a reminder to us Jesus is the Light of the
world. The star of Bethlehem is God's way of reminding us His light and
Light are beaming down into our hearts and lives. When we hold and
cradle the baby Jesus in our arms during the Christmas season, the love
and grace of God can burn within our hearts and all the darkness within
us can disappear. Just as Jesus was kind, gentle, and tender as a baby,
so He is still kind, gentle, and tender. When our life is full of
trouble, worry, and doubt, we can still hold Him in our arms and our
trouble, worry, and doubt melt away. Just as the baby Jesus was quiet in
the manger, He remains quiet within us as He continually gives us His
peace and love. Just as the baby Jesus was not rude, arrogant, or
demanding, so also does He remain calm and humble within us. As a baby,
Jesus did not invade the world in worldly arrogance or worldly splendor,
but in humility. Likewise, the baby Jesus is still quietly touching the
door of our heart hoping we will open the door and invite Him in.
