Using Big-picture Instructions From The Bible
To achieve my hopes and dreams, will I have to do anything going
against the big picture instructions God gives me in the Bible?
The wisdom and guidance contained in every page of scripture works to
our benefit. There are no short-cuts or easy avenues to realizing our
hopes and dreams, especially when those hopes and dreams are pointed in
the direction of God's will. Although there are no short cuts to doing
God's will, scripture gives us incredible guidance and common sense to
realize our hopes and dreams. Scripture gives us a way to establish
win-win relationships at home and at work. Scripture gives us common
sense ways to deal with problems and obstacles disabling to normally
functioning adults. Scripture gives us a special vision and power rare
in today's dark and ominous world. Hard to believe as it might be, the
big picture instructions of scripture, when followed to the letter, end
up taking care of a lot of the hour by hour details of our life.
However, we must remember God's instruction manual only goes so far. He
leaves many of the implementation decisions up to us in order to
preserve our free will and test us to see how devout we choose to be.
