What Do We Try And Do During Meditation?
During meditation you must be so good at observing your heart, mind,
soul, body, and surroundings, you must be the world's expert and the
world's keenest observer of your own mind and body. In doing meditation
you must learn to be objective and observe your world rather than
participate in what is going on within your heart, mind, soul, body, and
surroundings. One of the basic concepts behind meditation is being able
to clear your mind of all thought and to be able to step back and
observe what is going on within you and around you. In meditation, you
are to try to push aside every thought that comes to you. Surprisingly,
our mind is usually full of a torrent of thoughts. Remember meditation
is to be regarded as a fun exercise and is for the betterment of your
life. Some people require several weeks of daily practice at blanking
out or clearing their mind for even a few seconds. The longer it takes
you to blank out or clear your thoughts the more benefit you can receive
from perfecting the skill of learning to meditate. What is unique about
meditation is the more you try to do it, the less effective you become.
The more you just relax and let your mind clear without any great effort
on your part, the more effective meditation becomes. It has been
observed that clearing or blanking the mind is a growing process rather
than a learning process. Meditation is accomplished more by actual
practice than by any other means.
